Riding the wave of change

Have you ever felt being overwhelmed by what is happening in your life, it might feel like being in rough waters and being overwhelmed by the waves?

Rapid changes in your life might feel overwhelming, unsettling even.
Clinging on to what was or has been creates friction.

The new situation might feel overwhelming and yet there are precious gems hidden inside if you ride the wave.

Speaking from what I experienced myself in 2020, my contact as an independent IT contractor with a big airlines company was terminated and the market locking up.
I was unable to find a new assignment in the field where I had worked in for more then 20 years.

A first this was a scary and an uncertain situation.

Taking a step back and looking at the situation, I decided to focus on the foster children that were living with us at the time.

Just being there for them with my full attention, helping them learn and encouraging them to explore their own unique self.
Being in the moment, in the now also brought me back in touch with my own unique self.
Accepting the situation and stepping up instead of getting overwhelmed, I started to see what really matters and what is important for me.

This period has been the most precious for me as I learned so much by having full attention and being in the present (in the moment).

The current times have tremendous amount of opportunities and hidden gems.
There is a choice you can make to step up and ride the waves instead.

Are you being overwhelmed or are you riding the wave?
